Do we supply wholesale customers ? Yes, but you must contact us and apply to be a trade stockist. Some products are available to wholesale customers, some are not.
Do we supply interior designers? Yes, but we need details of your project requirements and we need generous leadtimes (several weeks at least depending on the product). We recommend designers use our webshop POSH GRAFFITI.COM if they need letters or decorations quickly.
Can I order a custom made teak table with specific measurements? Yes, but there is usually a 9-10 week leadtime. We offer a small discount on trade orders for our teak tables.
Are you a member of any FAIRTRADE ORGANISATIONS? No, but Emily has worked in Indonesia for 15 years and she works directly with village groups using no local middle man. She regularly visits her producers and always pays a good deposit so that they do not have to borrow from unscrupulous money lenders. Emily's husband is Balinese, the family help with the pacakaging and her brother in law supervises the manufacturing process.
Emily has acted on the advice of local NGO's and has developed her own ethics following the principles of FAIR TRADE.
How do you know your wood is from a sustainable supply?
Emily DOES NOT USE NEW, SLOW GROWING, TIGHT GRAINED, TROPICAL, HARDWOODS such as teak, mahogony or rosewood. ( It is difficult to enforce regulations in a country as big as Indonesia so our policy is not to use this type of timber.)
The wood we use is either an agricultural bi product such as palm or coffee or a FAST GROWING TROPICAL WOOD. Albesia wood is the light weight wood used for POSH GRAFFITI and our painted or gilded decorations. We grow our own trees at village level. Albesia trunks are large enough to use after only 3-4 years.
